Start any date that suits, as long as we are available. Minimum stay two weeks. You work 3.5 days each week. Days are long, from dawn to dusk, but the happy smiling faces of the animals around you will make it all worth it. Duties include daily cleaning of barns and coops, feeding, health checks, light maintenance work, monitoring herd movements and intensive care of ill, old and baby animals. Extra duties may be required when new there are new rescues or infants.
As a Volunteer Phone Operator, you will work as part of a team under the direction of the Fauna Rescue Hotline Coordinator.
Remotely overseeing the recruitment and training of new in-field volunteers as well as ongoing communications. Conducting online ( 2 per year) and hands-on (1 to 2 per year) training sessions for in-field volunteers. Conducting educational information sessions ( 3 to 4 per year) for small to medium size groups outside of the organisation.
This position ensures the financial affairs of WA Wildlife are managed responsibly and in accordance with accounting standards, ACNC and other legislative requirements. The opportunity is there for the right person to drive future income streams for financial sustainability.
