Companion volunteers provide one on one social support and companionship to Activ customers – adults living with disability. If you have just 2 hours to spare each week or fortnight, you could be enhancing the life of one of our customers with activities such as going for a coffee, visits to the park or visits to the cinema.

The SFC offers a place of belonging for everyone in the community to make friends and develop the skills to reach their potential. The club meets on a regular basis and aims to organise a variety of events and recreation programs to include those living with special needs.

Renata recently moved south of the river and is yet to build a social network. She is in her early 30s, has a mild intellectual disability and does not feel confident using public transport. Renata has a bubbly personality and loves children. She would love a local lady to take a personal interest in her.
