The Coordinator will commence as a dog reading team volunteer and after two school terms receive training to take on the Coordinator position. The Coordinator will recruit, train, support, manage and give recognition to volunteers within the region. The position will also raise awareness of the Story Dogs brand and services. This is a non paid, volunteer role. This role requires you to have a suitable dog.

The Program for After School Studies is targeted at young people from CALD backgrounds between the ages of 8 - 25 years old to assist with homework, reading, writing, acquiring speaking skills and study skills. Students can be tutored in a variety of subjects depending on their need. Sessions can be held face-to-face or online.
A Driver Mentors’ role is to accompany the Learner Driver during driving sessions to help them attain the number of supervised driving hours required for their logbook, providing constructive feedback and conveying the importance of road safety along the way. It is important to note the young person will have some experience on the road and your role is to consolidate the driving skills learned with a professional Driving Instructor. The Volunteer Tutor Scheme is a program that helps migrants and refugees who are unable to attend AMEP English classes, with one on one lessons for 1 hour per week. Anyone can become a volunteer tutor, even if you’re not a native English speaker. All you need is confidence in English, access to transport and the desire to help others learn. You will be helping people to access basic services and connect with the community, thereby having a huge impact on their ability to settle in Australia.
