Training is once a fortnight, with longer courses being run over a weekend which involves everything needed to know on search, rescue to enhance skills. A program is set on the type of courses that will involve the Unit every six months and includes areas such as: Map Reading, Ladder Slide, Mountain Rescue, Chainsaw Operation, 4WD, Land/Search Techniques, Forensic Search, Basic General Rescue.
