THECA wishes to continue to open its premises to members of the public one Sunday a month from February to November. We have done this for the past 2 years and there is material available to use for the new coordinator. The idea is to run activities for the public to educate them on environmental issues. We have a particular focus on young people and on families and children.

We need a volunteer to recruit, train and nurture new volunteers to Millen Farm. Millen Farm has been created by volunteers and is now a self-sustaining organic market garden. We often have people contact us offering to volunteer, and we require a self-motivated person to manage and coordinate our volunteer engagement.
The position is to assist in maintaining the organisations landscaped gardens - both floral and vegetable.

CVA will be partnering with Capalaba Rotary Bushcare Group to repair riparian zones along Tingalpa Creek by removing invasive weeds (Singapore Daisy, Mile a Minute and Madeira Vine) and replacing them with native lomandras and dianellas. Start date is January 2019 and finishing in June 2019, Monday through to Saturdays.

Come and join the team at Rush Creek, adjacent to Lake Samsonvale, as we install 240 native trees, create a path for easy accessibility for future watering and care and remove encroaching pine trees at the site. This project is a great way to network and gain hands on skills for a career in conservation while making a real difference to our environment.
Working together with local council, CVA will improve environmental outcomes at Nathan Road wetlands by undertaking weed control. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain basic plant identification skills and to learn about habitat restoration processes from start to finish. No prior experience is necessary, our friendly team leaders will teach you everything that you need to know on the day!
