This is a chance to be a part of the longest bat monitoring program in Australia, and to see our native microbats up close. Bats are measured, sexed, banded and health checked.   3. Friends of Organ Pipes - Sugar Glider monitoring

    Sugar gliders were successfully reintroduced to Organ Pipes in the 1980's. The monitoring crew use a camera on a pole to insert into nesting boxes to count adults and juveniles, to understand how the population is changing. You're *almost* guaranteed to see a cute little, furry face peering out at you! All are welcome, and no experience is required.
