Your basic sewing machine skills, or willingness to learn, will be useful in this role sewing wildlife rescue pouches and basket liners. Only straight line sewing, and patterns are cut along straight lines. All equipment is provided. Pouches and liners are sewn to specific sizes and designs and are given to local wildlife carers as needed. Timing is flexible - between 8am and 1pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

This bushcare group is supported by Lane Cove National Park. It meets on the second Sunday morning of each month in West Pymble and welcomes new members. Work involves removing weeds so that native plants will regenerate, improving the biodiversity of the park.
This group meets at the reserve entry point to the trail at 201 Pittwater Road, East Ryde. The group meets every Monday and Saturday 8:00am to 10:30am; volunteers can come to both or either day. There is much work to be done. We are well supplied and supported by the Lane Cove National Park bush care coordinator. Come along and help us make this reserve even more beautiful.
Volunteers are needed for a project to regenerate a severely degraded section of Lane Cove National Park. This work site is accessed through the locked gate on Pittwater Rd East Ryde just south of the Rene Street roundabout. The work will benefit the local flora and fauna and the walkers using the Great North Walk. No experience needed and all are welcome and a qualified bushregenaeration trainer will assist the group for the first seven months.

Lane Cove National Park has a thriving Bushcare Program running under the supervision of a National Parks Bushcare Coordinator. There are groups currently working on different days, from every week to once a month, and they welcome new members. Work is in the bush, removing weeds so that native plants will regenerate, improving the biodiversity of the park.

Central Coast Wetlands is a multi-purpose nature space on Crown Land. You will be working to improve the site that was previously used for agriculture and aim to improve aesthetics. You will work closely with the Caretaker and Volunteer coordinator to clean and maintain three assets that CCW uses for events. Our volunteer-led Not-For-Profit group, CANsign, has dispatched hundreds of thousands of signs/stickers for Climate Action Network Australia (CANA) member groups. We organise print, design, and dispatch services for other NFP groups, and we love what we do. We are looking for energetic volunteers to join our happy team to help in this rewarding work we do for all CANA groups. Currently operating out of NSW and near the ACT, CANsign is now looking to expand into other cities/States.
