Adjacent to the beautiful Albert River - home to platypus, koalas and other endemic wildlife, this location is an ideal place to learn about conservation and habitat restoration. Following previous flooding, some areas are beginning to sprout new castor oil plants. Join us as we remove these new weeds to prevent further spreading as well as maintain previous plantings in the area.

  5. Landcare Conservation Volunteer

    Help maintain environment / tree planting /special projects. Will need some level of physical fitness and an interest in the environment. Help with maintenance at Land Care sites around town - Bush Garden, Turtle Bridge, Lou Litster and Mundy Creek. Volunteers can be accepted as young as 12 and 13. Volunteers under the age of 12 must be accompanied by parents or guardians.
