Tutors are required for two of Yalari's students who are commencing Year 7 at St Catherine's School in Melbourne. You will be tutoring Indigenous children from regional, rural at remote communities. The role of a Yalari tutor is very important as it offers another level of support to children who are studying away from home; away from their friends and family.
The Aboriginal Community Elders Services holds a weekly Men's Shed every Wednesday on site within the beautiful setting in Brunswick East. Many of the clients who attend are from the community. The program covers foundational concepts relating to Land and Country, Aboriginal People, Aboriginal Art, Aboriginal History and Aboriginal Celebrations and provides students with an opportunity to explore them in an open and respectful presentation.
