Volunteers are needed to befriend and assist people with intellectual disabilities who are lonely and at risk. Becoming a Citizen Advocate is similar to helping a neighbour in need.
Looking for a suitable individual who is patient, kind, caring and non-judgemental that is interested in helping a person with an disability who may be lonely, vulnerable or at risk. The role may include speaking up, protecting, becoming an ally, mentoring or enabling an individual to reach their potential and become a part of their local community.
