The Event Volunteer is the friendly and welcoming face of Genealogy SA at events and workshops both on site at the Genealogy Library and at other venues. He/she is responsible for promoting the Society as an organisation of choice in regard to family history research and membership. The role also involves assisting with the set-up for the event, such as setting out chairs, laying out brochures, meeting guests and checking registration lists as guests arrive.
The Library Reception Desk Volunteer is the friendly and welcoming face of Genealogy SA. They provide guidance to members, visitors and those who call us to use the Society’s family history information resources. In this role, volunteers will find themselves assisting a variety of people with their genealogical research, providing them with a great opportunity for growth in their own learning.
You will provide outstanding customer service to museum visitors, promote exhibitions & events and assist with the museum daily operation. We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and friendly volunteers to join our amazing team. The Monsignor Hawes Heritage Centre (MHHC) is a state-of-the-art interpretive centre, within the grounds of St Francis Xavier's Cathedral, that tells the story of architect-priest Monsignor John Cyril Hawes. The Monsignor Hawes Museum Attendant will engage with visitors to help them appreciate the wonderful story of Monsignor John Cyril Hawes and to take the opportunity to visit the many places he built in the Midwest and Gascoyne region of WA.

The Greenough Museum welcomes Volunteers who are enthusiastic and committed to assisting the museum to preserve, document and interpret its collections. The museum recognises the value of Volunteer work in both its day to day running and for future planning. Located in a beautifully restored two storey house alongside Maley's Mill, the Greenough Museum offers an insight into a bygone era. The homestead was built between 1862 and 1880 for John Maley (King of the Greenough Flats), miller, storekeeper, hotel proprietor, entrepreneur and father of 14 children. The museum examines the social life of the Front Greenough Flats from Aboriginal time until today. View the historic trees and wander the community vege garden. Open daily 8.30am to 3.00pm
The Saint Francis Xavier Cathedral is a landmark building of international importance. The story of this fabulous twentieth century cathedral has been published world-wide in a book listing 83 magnificent cathedrals from around the world. This beautiful cathedral is situated at 56 Cathedral Ave Geraldton (corner of Maitland St). It is open to the public from 7.00am until 5.30pm, 7 days a week, except Public Holidays when it's open from 9am.

Volunteering experiences at the RAAFA WA Aviation Heritage Museum are certain to be worthwhile and meaningful, with flexible options to fit in with your lifestyle. The Aviation Heritage Museum is open seven days a week, 10am to 4pm, with volunteering roles available during these times, either at the museum, or the storage facility located in Willetton.
