ICV Crew- Communications Officer.
- Mundaring Western Australia
- Category: Emergency Response
- Types of work: Administration & Office Management, Safety & Emergency Services
The Darling Range Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade is the specialist emergency services communications unit for the Shire of Mundaring in Western Australia. At incidents, predominantly bush fires, the Incident Control Vehicle (ICV) provides communications support for the Incident Management Team (IMT). It is worth noting that DRVBFB personnel are trained to be able to assist an Incident Management Team in any situation and are not reliant on the facilities of the Incident Control Vehicle to provide effective support at an incident. This support includes radio, mobile telephone and facsimile services in addition to computer support for vehicle tracking, display of maps and GIS-derived data, and recording the presence of personnel and vehicles at the incident.
