Australian Railway Historical Society (Victorian Division)

The ARHS-Vic operates the Newport Railway Museum, which features a wonderful collection of around sixty major exhibits including steam locomotives, diesel and electric locomotives and carriages, and all sorts of other railway infrastructure ranging from a railway crane built in 1859 to a Metcard machine only retired in 2012. Our museum is entirely run by volunteers and our work ranges from selling tickets at the front desk and assisting visitors with questions through to repairing and restoring our exhibits.
