About City of Burnie Lions Club

Lions Clubs are part of community life, in the cities and in the country. Clubs are easily identified by their distinctive Logo, the trademark of our International Association, and the 'We Serve'; motto.

Lions Australia is part of an international association, filled with people who are joined by the common desire to make their communities better, by using their creativity, enthusiasm and energy.

Membership is open to all people of the community in good standing.

This website is where you can find out about your own local Lions Club.

City of Burnie Lions Club Inc was formed on 8th September, 1959 and Chartered 12th February, 1960.

The Club conducts meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at The Menai Hotel, 20 Edwardes St, South Burnie 6pm for 6.30pm. One meeting per month is a Dinner Meeting, the other a Business Meeting.

We use our BBQ gear and Cooler Trailer to cater at events and these items are available for hire at very reasonable rates. We are involved annually with Relay for Life, Burnie 10, and A Night on the Terrace and 65 Roses Day. Other projects occur throughout the year that we organise or participate in.

The Club has a membership of men and women who are very community minded serving our Community, ranging in age across the 30's to 70's!
