AK Strikers is a sporting club encouraging children (and adults!) to play in a fun and friendly environment. We currently play Teeball, Baseball and Softball. Starting in 1981 the club began with just children playing Teeball. In 1999 a children's Softball competition started. Winter 2002 saw the club venture into the inter-district softball league for both children and men. Summer of that year saw our first women's team enter the league competition. In 2003 we were able to also participate in the summer Women's Twilight competition. In 2011 we teamed up with Kelmscott Baseball Club to offer our kids another great diamond sport and we are continuing with it this year and hopefully many more years to come! Unlike many other sporting groups our club is training and playing year-round. Our children’s Teeball teams train and play at the Bob Blackburn reserve in Armadale through spring and summer. The Men’s, Ladies and Youth Softball teams train at Bob Blackburn Reserve and play in the inter-districts competition at the Dale Districts Softball club with teams from all over south-east Perth. The ladies competition runs through summer and the Men’s and Youth competition through the winter months. We are very proud of our achievements and the hard work of a lot of people connected with the club. The club offers children, men and women from all age groups the opportunity to attain physical fitness, build and solidify friendship networks and improve skills.
