Good Neighbours is an international humanitarian development NGO founded in 1991. We implement projects to protect child rights, to strengthen global partnership, and to advocate the right of the most vulnerable. Currently, Good Neighbors Alliance has a global presence in 43 countries with a focus on inclusive community development and child protection. Good Neighbors has attained a general consultative status -the highest status granted by the United Nations to non-governmental organizations (NGO's), allowing them to participate in the work of the United Nations- in 1996. Good Neighbors launched the Sydney office in 2018 under the Good Neighbors’ International Governance, following Good Neighbors Canada. Currently, we directly support the Philippines and Vietnam with our supporters and donors in Australia. Good Neighbours Australia is registered with ACNC (Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission) and has an endorsed Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status by the Australian Tax Office.
