Action on Poverty is an international aid organisation that empowers local changemakers to break the cycle of entrenched poverty in some of the poorest communities in Africa, Asia and the Pacific. We connect local organisations with the resources and training they need to drive change that really lasts. From teaching an Ethiopian family to grow their own food to sending Cambodian girls to school, we target communities with their own vision for change, and help them make the largest impact possible. Action on Poverty is an independent, secular non-government organisation that is fully accredited with the Australian Government. We celebrate 50 years of life-changing work in 2018. By volunteering with us, you'll be helping vulnerable people to find their own long-term solutions to poverty.
