Ability Options is a Not for Profit organisation that began in 1976 in New South Wales to enable people with intellectual and physical disabilities to move from large institutions into their own home. The services that are provided are: • Accommodation • Case management • Community activities and support • Employment • NDIS and Individualised funding services • Post school programs • Respite • Supported living • Transition to work In the last two years, Ability Options has acquired 5 smaller organisations (referred to as integration partners) in the NSW region in addition to 47 group homes from Family and Community Services (NSW, State Government) that provide accommodation and respite services, thus increasing its footprint and employee count to 1200.The organisation is growing in employment services and has placed over 3000 people since 2015. Ability Options is one of the longest running not for profit organisations in NSW.
