The Australian Dental Council (the ADC) is an independent authority assigned the accreditation functions for the dental professions by the Dental Board of Australia (DBA).The ADC undertakes assessment of overseas trained dental practitioners seeking to be registered and work in Australia, as well as acting as the external authority responsible for accrediting education and training programs leading to registration as a dentist, dental specialist, dental hygienist, dental therapist, oral health therapist, and dental prosthetist.
