The RBG manages the Botanical Gardens, the National Herbarium of Victoria and the state Botanical Collection and the Australian Research Centre for Urban Ecology (ARCUE) for scientific, recreational and cultural purposes. Volunteers are involved with Guided tours of the Gardens we have Garden Ambassadors and Meeter & Greets who provide customer service to the general public. Children's Garden volunteers do hands on gardening and work with children on special event days
