Telecross is a free community service that provides a reassurance telephone call to isolated, elderly or disabled people. When potential volunteers enquire about Telecross, they need to be aware that police check and other forms need to be completed. Unable to volunteer until these forms are returned from head office in Sydney, takes 1 month. Volunteers need to apply on-line at www.redcross.org.au, they will need to put in the state first and then the area.
