Vines Road Community Centre

Vines Road Community Centre is a Neighbourhood House with a range of activities for all ages and abilities. We are home to over 40 different community clubs and organisations and we are an adult education provider. The VRCC vision is of a socially harmonious community resource which reflects the diverse needs of every individual. The Vines Road Community Centre (VRCC) is situated within the City of Greater Geelong and located in Vines Road Hamlyn Heights. It is an incorporated, not-for- profit association managed by a volunteer Committee of Management that is elected by the members of the organisation and represents members of the local and surrounding communities. The Centre provides activities, programs and services that aim to meet the social, recreational, health interests and requirements of all members of the community. VRCC is co-located on a site with Western Heights College and Diversitat Training and Education. Under our roof in the Orange Building, we share community space with the Western Heights branch of the Geelong Regional Library Corporation (GRLC) and Vines Road Senior Citizen’s Club. The Centre receives funding from the Victorian Department of Human Services through the Neighbourhood House Coordination Program (NHCP) and City of Greater Geelong. Additional funding is able to be sourced from grant applications. The Vines Road Community Centre also has a strong self-funding strategy. Fees collected from venue hire, activity participation, membership and other services contribute to that.
