Blue Mountains World Heritage Institute

We are an independent, not-for-profit Institute based in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. We address environmental challenges in the Blue Mountains for the benefit of conservation and management around the world. We conduct research, deliver education programs, collaborate extensively and engage with communities to develop and implement strategies for conservation and sustainability. We are dedicated to creating a rewarding experience for our volunteer community, including interns, students, citizen scientists and project associates. For example, we run a creative eco-arts program for the benefit of our citizen scientists and other volunteers. We would love to welcome you into our volunteer community, however you are able to participate and contribute. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you have questions. We would love to hear from you.
