Bushcare is a volunteer program with the aim of preserving and regenerating bushland on council land. Volunteers work under the direction of council's Bushcare Unit in accordance with recognised bush-regeneration techniques. It is a hands on volunteering program. The environmental benefits of Bushcare are that it: •protects indigenous flora, fauna and remnant vegetation •rehabilitates natural areas for future generations •encourages active community involvement to manage bushland areas.
