The largest motor car club in Australia, the Sporting Car Club SA was founded in Adelaide in 1934 for all who love cars and enjoy motorsport. The Sporting Car Club holds motorsport events and competitions and runs the majority of events at Mallala including the South Australian Motor Racing Championships. We run National, State and Club events at our own Collingrove Hillclimb Track. We also encourage the preservation and restoration of historic motor vehicles. We organise Club events and social gatherings like hillclimbs, runs and rallies including the popular Sunseeker Rally and Small Car Sunday. John Blanden's Climb to the Eagle held in Adelaide just before the Australian Grand Prix each year is legendary. All are organised by the Club's staff while the Special Events Office runs the motor sport events.
