Our Vision. The ultimate objective of MDA WA is to find a cure for muscular dystrophy and its related conditions and to make life better for those who have it. Our Purpose: MDA WA fundraises for research in neuromuscular diseases and to support the Western Australian neuromuscular community. Muscular Dystrophy WA provides an individualised information and active support service for all those impacted by any of the many forms of muscular dystrophy. We have expertise in a range of issues and are able to respond to enquiries regarding matters such as equipment choice, respite, funding and advocacy. Muscular Dystrophy WA provides the potentially life saving CoughAssist Machines, Standing Frames, Camps, Mothers Respite Weekends, an Annual Family Picnic and Christmas Party and The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award.
