The centre provides young people the opportunity to participate in both structured and unstructured educational, recreational and life skills development programs. In addition Stand By Me Youth Services assists young people experiencing and struggling with a range of issues, which include the following : ·Accommodation ·Alcohol and drug misuse ·Employment and educational ·Health (in particular sexual health) ·Finances ·Relationship conflict (family, friends and partners) ·Legal and justice. Stand By Me Youth Services assists young people by way of: ·Referring the young person to a specialised organisation. ·Providing the young person with information JPET, Case Management, Education Support Program, Drop –In Recreation Program. Advocating on behalf of the young person, Stand By Me Youth Service (WA) Inc is a not-of-profit community driven organisation that provides services to mainstream and ‘at-risk’ young people who reside, recreate and/or educate in the Lockridge/Beechboro and surrounding areas.
