The Albany Maritime Foundation is a not for profit organization and current custodians of the Duyfken Boatshed. The AMF's mandate is to promote all things related to Albany's historic and current maritime heritage. Encourage local groups, educational institutions, local tourism bodies and the wider community to be involved within projects of the AMF. The Festival of the Sea came into being in 2008 to promote and educate the public on our local wild caught and aquaculture fishing industries. At the same time the Festival provides entertainment for the whole family with local entertainers, nautical activities for adults and children, comnpetitions and seafood cooking demonstrations. The festival is for all young and old and entry is by gold coin donation.
