Founded in 1981, Nature Foundation SA is an environmental not-for-profit organisation that works to save, protect and restore South Australia's biodiversity. Our purpose is to advance nature conservation by raising funds, creating community and industry partnerships and implementing sound science. We work with over 400 volunteers, local communities, traditional owners, community organisations, businesses and three levels of government to conserve South Australia’s magnificent natural environment. Nature Foundation SA focuses on four key areas: • The purchase and management of land with significant conservation value in South Australia; • Water for Nature: environmental watering along the River Murray, helping local communities bring wetlands back to life; • Research grants and education: enabling students to deliver conservation outcomes; and • Ecotourism and inspiring people of all ages to connect with nature and sustainably manage South Australia's natural ecosystems.
