The Multiple Birth Volunteer Support Foundation (MBVS) is looking for enthusiastic people to become working party members of our Committee of Management, to help us achieve our goals of helping more multiple birth families, and expand in to more geographical areas.
Please note that as we are currently fully volunteer run, we do not have an office. If you are looking for volunteer work in an office environment then unfortunately we are not the right organisation for you!
We are looking for people with skills and/or an interest in the following areas:
- Event management
- General administrative support
We would expect that you would work together with one or more members of the Committee of Management. If you are interested in helping in any way, please get in contact!
About the organisation:
MBVS recruits, trains and organises local people to provide hands-on help to families with their twins, triplets or more, particularly when they are babies. Historically we have provided these services mainly to families with triplets or more, but are currently expanding to be able to help more twin families, by establishing volunteer banks in various suburbs. We are focusing on Melbourne initially, with a view to expand in to regional Victoria and beyond.
We have been running since 1997, and were incorporated and obtained DGR status in 2011.
With a number of new committee members, this is an exciting time in a small, fully volunteer run organisation, with the potential to help us grow significantly and help many more multiple birth families.
