Community Service - Assistant Driver, West Gosford - assist collection of heavy donations

Working alongside our truck drivers assisting in tasks involving collection of heavier donations, ie furniture, large clothing bags, books and other items being donated. Some heavy lifting involved. 7am to 3.30pm or part thereof (prefer 4 hour shifts) - could be 1 day per month). Prefer MR Licence, but normal licence also considered for assistant positions

May also be required to assist in the warehouse. Male or female volunteers will be considered.

Training: Ongoing support/instruction on how to accomplish tasks safely. A lot of the work is done in a team providing opportunities to learn. Training in OH&S (manual handling), how to communicate with customers.

Notes: Good physical heatlh is required as there is heavy lifting involved (up to 20 kg) and ability to climb into truck cabin. Volunteers in this role are also requested to wear steel capped boots for safety reasons.
