Encounter Centre works with the community to provide interesting and informative programs along with the opportunity to learn new skills in a supportive manner.
Do you have an interest or a skill that you would like to share with members of the community who are living with intellectual disability? Encounter Centre is looking for volunteers that would be interested in supporting individuals, or small groups, including providing assistance on outings.
Do you have particular skills or expertise that you would be willing to teach? This may include crafts, art (e.g. drawing, painting, collage, mosaic, sewing, woodworking, gardening, pottery etc.) sports, (e.g. table tennis and lawn bowls) music, singing, choir, cooking activities, leatherwork or pyrography (woodburning) etc.
