About the role We believe that sharing life experiences is one of the most powerful tools to convince people of the benefits of personal development. This includes narratives of overcoming challenging life environments, realizing dreams through strong belief, and successfully reintegrating into society after a period of exclusion. Therefore, we are seeking a highly motivated volunteer to take on the role of a journalist who will seek out inspirational stories and conduct interviews.

What you will do

  • Conduct research to discover inspirational stories from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities in New South Wales (NSW)
  • Conduct interviews with the individuals
  • Invite them to participate in our social photography project, which will culminate in an exhibition that will capture their journeys as migrants. Our photographer will capture their stories through photography.
  • You, too, will play a vital role in documenting and presenting their stories.

You will bring

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Capable of investigating, writing, documenting, and recording stories.
  • Passion for personal development and a positive attitude.
  • Relationship skills to interact with interviewees and make them feel comfortable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously.
