We are a not for profit self help organisation situated in Chermside on Brisbanes Northside. Our key purposes is to assist those persons living with a stoma as a result of major surgery to maintain a normal quality of life. One of our main support activities is to provide to persons living with a stoma with essential medical supplies which are necessary for them to maintain a normal quality of life.
We are open 4 days per week during school hours and have adult voluntary workers of all ages. There is some lifting involved so a reasonable level of fitness is required. We provide all volunteers with a nominal daily allowance to assist with their cost of travelling to and from the association to carry out volunteer activities (paid quarterly) as allowed under ATO rules.
This role would particularly suit a semi retired person, a person returning to the workforce after a period of absence, and parents with school aged children.
We operate in a COVID safe environment and require all of workers (including volunteers) to be fully vaccinated against COVID19.
