Tax Help Volunteers - City of Swan Wide

City of Swan Libraries is looking for dedicated volunteers to assist with the ATO’s Tax Help program, offering support to community members with their tax returns. We have five Tax Help Centres located at our Ballajura, Beechboro, Bullsbrook, Ellenbrook, and Midland library branches, and we need volunteers to join us for the 2025 tax season.
The ATO Tax Help program is a free service designed to assist eligible individuals who earn $70,000 or less and have simple tax affairs. As a volunteer, you’ll help people in the community by:
- Assisting with preparing and lodging tax returns via myTax
- Helping clients create a myGov account
- Lodging amendments to tax returns
- Claiming refunds of franking credits
- Advising clients who don’t need to lodge a return
Volunteers can assist clients either online, over the phone, or in person at our Tax Help Centres. No prior tax experience is necessary – full training is provided.
For further details on the Tax Help program and the volunteer role, feel free to reach out to any of our six library branches by phone or email.
