A Charity that is passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need, with a particular commitment to dementia and aged care, is seeking a Volunteer Mini Bus Driver.

With your assistance, elderly residents will enjoy short excursions as you drive them on local trips lasting for a few hours, between 10.30am and 2pm approximately.

These may include a picnic, morning tea or lunch outings, in accordance with current COVID restrictions and best safety practices. You will be accompanied by a staff member at all times, who will look after any of the residents care requirements.

The mini bus is a 12 seater, so anyone with a current Australian C class driver’s license and a good driving history would be warmly welcomed. If you aren’t particularly confident with the idea of driving a 12 seater minivan, but would otherwise be interested in this role, training can be provided.

Volunteer Drivers are currently needed Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and, because of the timing, would be perfectly suited to someone with school aged children.

Volunteering in this capacity is not only a fun way to meet new people and make new friends, but more importantly will make a significant difference to someone else’s life.

Please consider joining this special group of passionate and committed Volunteers by expressing your interest. We would love to hear from you!
