Domestic violence and homelessness are both at a substantially high level. Therefore, we have created our charity, to provide victims of both, a safe place to stay and a home to call their own. We will be creating more social housing for very low income earners. We are also running programs to help women who have been victims of domestic violence rebuild their self esteem. We are looking at creating temporary emergency accommodation through a program called Tempy Nester.
We are looking for volunteers to help in different areas of the project, including people to help with accommodation, transport, running workshops including art, dance and beauty therapy, presenting our Healthy Relationships program for teenage girls and people to volunteer for BBQs at Bunnings stores to raise money for our charity. We have DGR status so anyone that is allowed to volunteer in exchange for finding 15 hours a week employment can volunteer with us. We look forward to hearing from you.
