Hartleys Community Dining Room provides low-cost meals to the general public, including those experiencing economic and social disadvantage. The service, which has run for several decades, operates Monday to Friday, 11 am to 2 pm all year, except when closed for two weeks over Christmas and the New Year. The dining room has seating for up to 50 customers and has an outdoor courtyard area.
This role requires compassion, and an enthusiasm for engaging the community. You will work within a diverse team of volunteers to serve 50-100 lunch meals from the counter, and be comfortable with clearing plates from tables in the dining room. Help maintain a clean and tidy space for customers and assist with food preparation at this lively community site.
