Happy Paws Happy Hearts was established to create positive social experiences by connecting the socially isolated with the RSPCA animals.

Creating a comfortable and happy environment where participants can come and feel relaxed.
Setting up/packing down the room before and after the session.
Collecting animals from their holding pens and facilitating safe inreractions.
Facilitate meaningful interactions between animals and participants.
Coordinate simple activities and encourage discussion about the animal.
Assisting the trainers to deliver specialised programs.
Supporting participants to reach their potential.
Having the opportunity to work with Veterans, aged care and participants with a range of abilities.

Commitment

Regular - less than 6 months

Training

One on one training is provided and regular contact with our program assistant.

Time required

One shift each week. Shifts are approx. 4 hours.

Requirements

National Police Certificate
Working with Children Check

For QLD - Blue and yellow card (or positive notice letter) is required however we will provide the right documentation to fill out although if you can do this prior - AMAZING! For NSW - Working with children check and national police check is required but as per above we will provide the right documentation to fill out although if you can do this prior - AMAZING!
