Bus run and Day Centre Assistant volunteer

Key Duties
Supporting clients to access and exit the bus safely Assist the coordinator with preparation and running of social and recreational activities such as craft activities\floor games and quizzes Providing companionship and conversation to clients Assist with morning tea and serving lunch Accompany bus driver to assist in pick up and drop off clients before and after activities
Skills
Friendly and patient Ability to be supportive and responsive and maintain clear calm communication Awareness of dignity and respect for clients To be non-directive and encourage participation whilst acknowledging the right of clients to decline activities
