Looking to get real world social media marketing experience, build professional connections and leave your mark on one of WA’s most beloved events? The Avon Descent is looking for an enthusiastic social media officer to support our event as we look towards 2021.
Northam's Avon Descent Association is a not-for-profit organisation built on local communities focused around the Swan and Avon rivers, managing one of WA's most iconic sporting events, we rely on the support hundreds of volunteers and support groups to deliver our events.
As the Social Media Officer you will be a critical team member and help to keep our competitors and spectators informed, help to promote our great event and keep our social media followers entertained in the lead up to the event. Be a positive influence for others and help support this great volunteer driven event.
Help develop and implement social media plans across platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Youtube, develop creative visual content, interact online with followers and supporters, leave your own personal touch on your content!
You will primarily work from home with regular team meet ups and occasional weekend event days in the lead up to the main event. Proximity primarily to the Swan or Avon rivers, as our team will be focused around the Swan area.
This role will be flexible with approx 1-2h/week and fit easily around other commitments such as work and study.
