Residential Aged Care - Concierge Volunteer, Sinnamon Park

Our residential aged care community at Sinnamon Park is seeking volunteers to assist in welcoming visitors to our aged care communities.

The concierge role will comprise of tasks such as:

  • Liaising with residents and welcoming, staff, volunteers, contractors and other visitors to the building
  • Reviewing each visitor against the entry criteria
  • Provide access to visitors that comply with relevant criteria
  • Restrict access to visitors that do not comply and provide explanation as to why
  • Document visitor access for those who are able to visit and also those denied entry
  • Report any feedback or requests through to the appropriate staff.

This volunteer role is suitable for people who have well developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and display a calm, caring and empathetic manner.

Volunteering shifts are available seven days a week between the hours of 9am - 4pm on a roster system. Time frames are flexible to suit your availability.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and the safety of our residents and staff we ask that volunteers expressing an interest in this role meet with the following criteria:

  • Have received the 2020 influenza vaccination (proof of this vaccination is required)
  • Have NOT arrived from overseas in the preceding 14 days

  • Have not arrived from Victoria in the past 14 days

  • Are healthy and well (temperatures are taken on arrival).
