Diverse Communities and Social Services (DCSS Australia) is a National Not-for-Profit Community Justice and Social Services Charity Organisation throughout Australia, which is a Public Benevolent ACNC Charity Institution. DCSS Australia is the leading National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (Indigenous), LGBTIQA, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD), Diversity and Inclusion focused organisation which delivers the Not-for-Profit Community Justice and Social Services Program operating across Australia.

We are looking for organised individuals who have exceptional communication skills, with the ability to form productive working relationships with a wide range of employees. As the Recruitment Consultant, you will be required to provide a minimum 6 months commitment, consisting 10 hours per week or fortnight. As a Recruitment Consultant, you’ll also work with candidates, helping to guide them through the interview process and assessing their suitability for particular roles. You’ll also work closely with the employer, People & Culture Manager to gain a better understanding of their recruitment requirements and help them to find suitable employees.

This is a great opportunity to have a kick start on your future career, however, we do ask our applicants to hold a qualification of a similar background and/or experience (especially within recruitment).

Tasks and duties: • Arranging for advertising job vacancies in a wide range of media. • Headhunting, networking, and using CV searching techniques to find relevant candidates. • Managing interviews, screening candidates, reference checks and running background checks. • Undertaking negotiations on terms and conditions of employment. • Developing a good understanding of client companies, their industry, what they do and their work culture and environment. • Maintaining personnel records in accordance to DCSS Australia’s standards.
