We are actively looking for a champion of finance to be the chief financial officer for our surf life saving club. The Finance Officer is the chief financial management officer for the surf life saving club and is responsible for managing the club’s cash flow, preparing regular bank account reconciliations in conjunction with the Director of Administration and is responsible for the overall supervision of any financial commitments of the club Board and committees. The Finance Officer must also maintain an asset register, ensure the club committee approves or ratifies all payments made and records details of these payments in the club minutes.

The Finance Officer is the chief financial management officer for the surf life saving club and is responsible for the POS, managing the club’s cash flow, preparing monthly bank account reconciliations and is responsible for the overall supervision of financial commitments of the club’s Board and committees. The Finance Officer must also maintain an asset register, ensure payments are recorded and ratified by the club’s board. The financial officer is required to prepare and submit the BAS for the club and prepares any required supporting documentation for the club’s auditors. Previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded. Training and updates will be provided as required to ensure we are across SLSWA’s requirements for each season. The Club’s administration office is open on Wednesday mornings from 9.00am year round, with the addition of Sunday mornings from 9.00am until 1.30pm during the season (October to April). The role supports the club’s Board of Management and reports to the Director of Administration.
