BARRC was established in March 2019 and to date has adopted over 170 dogs who have found themselves homeless from private homes and the pound.  Not only do BARRC rehome but also educate the community, this is an important focus of the organisation to reduce the future number of homeless dogs. We have over 100 volunteers helping with various tasks to help save the dogs.  Our committee (or Top Dogs as we like to call it) is currently 5 and we are looking to increase this to 8 to share the workload.  We are a passionate team who support each other and work amazingly well together.  For further details, please see our website  barrc.info The role may be summarised as follows:

  • love for dogs and passion to help those needing new homes
  • ability to read some behaviours and help with basic training
  • ability to walk all sizes and temperaments of dogs
  • cleaning dog pens
  • enjoying and understanding play styles of all sorts of dogs
  • lots of love and cuddles to give
  • ability to provide feedback to BARRC committee to assist in identifying the perfect foster home and then the perfect match for adoption
  • own transport to kennels, 15mins from Bunbury
  • In depth training and dog behaviour is not required but a passion and love for dog rescue is
