Social Media Coordinator

Responsibilities:

Develop the Foundation’s social media presence with a particular focus on:

Keeping the social media channels updated, ideally daily
Encouraging others to comment on the posts and share them with others
Increasing the numbers of people following posts on the website and on Facebook
Setting, working towards, and reporting on social media objectives and targets
Comply with and utilise contemporary human resource management requirements and practices including workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policies
Perform other duties that may be required from time to time as directed by the CEO

Requirements

Working with Children Check

Skills required: -Demonstrated experience working with Social Media -Have a strong understanding of the current social media landscape, the trends and what people are interested in and how to engage them -Intermediate to advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office and internet research -Experience in a marketing and promotions role is desirable. -Reliability in completing work within the necessary timeframes -Driver’s licence ‘C’ Queensland desirable, but not essential Preferred volunteer attributes: -Tact, diplomacy, confidentiality and discretion in dealing with staff and public are important -Excellent interpersonal and confident communication skills -Exercise initiative and work unsupervised.
