  • Deliver all aspects of accredited training and assessment in accordance with the STEPS RTO Management System, Australian Core Skills Framework, and the Australian Qualifications Framework specifications.
  • Assist with the development, design and implementation of the training program and associated activities to meet client and community needs and the requirements of national specifications, including improving the foundation language, literacy, numeracy and digital literacy (LLND) skills of clients to meet and where possible exceed KPIs.
  • Utilise training resources provided, whilst being flexible and adaptive to meet client and referring agency needs and outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure desired client numbers, attendance targets and training delivery hours are achieved as set out in the contract, overcoming obstacles and challenges to meet these requirements at all times.
  • Participate in agreed community and/or cultural activities, functions, and meetings to build community partnerships and contribute to the success of the program.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and key stakeholders (including clients, communities, referral agencies and local employers) involved in training programs to maximise a collaborative approach to the learning experience and ensure effective delivering of the training program.
  • Provide flexible learning delivery, adapting resources and delivery methods to meet the needs and goals of clients, whilst remaining aligned toreferral agencies expectations, where practicable.
  • Provide input into the review and updating of training program activities, including moderation and validation activities, using various modes of delivery aligning non accredited training to national units of competency.
  • Apply a broad range of communication styles and methods to ensure effective understanding of clients in the training program, as well as, effectively resolving challenges to learning with clients and key stakeholders, escalating barriers and risks, as required.
  • Capture and record all data in relevant record keeping systems, ensuring compliance and consistency in application of such systems with the VET Quality Framework and RTO Management System to produce reports for analysis, performance measurement and continuous improvement activities.
  • Actively participate in the continuous quality improvement processes for the overall RTO Management System, by completing tasks and providing feedback to your supervisor, ensuring compliance with legislation and contractual requirements.
  • Invest in ongoing professional development activities to maintain currency and qualifications as per program and RTO compliance requirements.
  • Maintain detailed working knowledge of the STEPS RTO Management System, regulatory program requirements, as well as policies and procedures relating to program delivery and take responsibility for ensuring all activities comply with these requirements.
  • Comply with organisational policies and procedures, and the ‘IMS Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities Statements’ relevant to this position, which include WHS, quality and environmental duties.
  • Travel to remote/regional communities to perform duties as required and attend meetings, training, or conferences outside the usual span of work hours.
