The role includes welcoming family, friends, and all visitors to our facility. This will also involve supporting with temperature checking, completing of paperwork and assisting with administration tasks.

We are looking for volunteers to assist on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between 1.00pm to 4.00pm, and on Tuesday and Thursday evenings between 6.00pm to 8.00pm.

This positions calls for someone who is friendly, has a positive attitude and good communication skills, along with empathy for older people, and who is reliable and punctual. All volunteers require a police certificate for the purposes of Aged Care and evidence of their vaccination against the 2020 Seasonal Influenza. Volunteers aged over 70 are required to have a letter from a doctor stating that they understanding the risks of COVID-19 and are able to work. All volunteers will need to attend a 1 hour training on COVID -19 and Hand Hygiene before commencing; this will be provided by ACH and will be available at the Yankalilla Centre. It will be part of the induction process.
