We need your help to operate rag cutting machines at our warehouse. The person will play a vital role in giving a hand up to people in need by volunteering at our warehouse

Play a vital role in giving a hand up to people in need by volunteering at our warehouse to operate rag cutting machines. Any linen or clothing not suitable for our retails stores or emergency relief are repurposed as cut rags that are sold to local businesses for use in workshops. Join a friendly atmosphere, biscuits, tea & coffee are provided for our Volunteers and they enjoy discounts on purchases through our retail store. St Vincent de Paul Society QLD is committed to providing adequate work equipment and love to reward our Volunteers in various ways. This type of work would be best suited to people who are able to; • Follow Workplace Health & Safety policies & procedures under the direction of a Supervisor. (training & Induction provided) • Take direction from experienced workers & supervisor • Identify or learn to identify between synthetic & non-synthetic materials • Lift & carry 10kg bags • Read & Write • Work well with a diverse group of people • Develop an understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
