Advocare’s Community Visitors Scheme operates in the Perth metropolitan area. Volunteers are now able to visit on the weekends (between 10 am and 3 pm) as well as week days (between 9 am and 5 pm).

Clients are visited in their home or in an aged care facility. Volunteers do things like: o have a cuppa and a chat o reminisce o play card games o go for walks o share a hobby

• Volunteers are supported by Advocare’s ACCVS Co-ordinators who are on hand for support.
• Volunteers are entitled to a small reimbursement per visit.
• Volunteering as a community visitor is an interesting and rewarding way to give back to the community. Our volunteers get as much out of it as the clients do.
• Time commitment (minimum) is one hour per week.
